COVID19 Update for Hapkido class
I hope you and your family are well and safe in this difficult time.
Following the latest Government announcement about London including Worcester park moving back to Tier 2 COVID restrictions from 2nd of December, I would like to clarify that our classes are running with the following safety measures.
It is hard to find balance between safety and looking after your health, so I want you to know what we are doing to make sure you are as safe as possible. Please participate in the safety of our community by downloading the NHS COVID-19 contact tracing app and scanning the QR code every time you enter the SKMA Worcester Park centre / Dojang.
I appreciate that the Government’s latest announcement may have caused some confusion, so I would like to clarify how this affects training at SKMA Hapkido & Kummooyeh. The announcement states that Group Classes are exempt from the "Rule of 6", as long as they are organised under COVID secure guidelines and safety measures.
The exceptions to the "Rule of 6" include exercise classes, organised outdoor sport or licensed outdoor physical activity, and supervised sporting activity (indoors or outdoors) for under-18s.
The COVID secure guidelines include managing contact by:
· Disinfecting your hands
· Scanning the NHS COVID-19 contact tracing QR Code when accessing the centre
· Wearing a face mask until you reach the dojang area, or the treatment room, unless you are exempt
· Maintaining social distancing at all times
· Limiting the number of members able to access the facilities
· Rigorous cleaning regime – disinfecting premises after each class/treatment
We conduct the usual temperature checks for every single person who enters our premises and limit the maximum number for each class to maintain the social distance.
Please be assured that our fresh air system takes air from outside and our main door is kept open during the class to have better air flow and quality.
I would like to insist and ask all our members and parents
Please only attend the class if you feel well. If you feel unwell for any reason, then please stay at home, follow appropriate guidance, and we will see you when you feel well again.
Please parents drop and pick up your children outside of the centre. Do not enter the centre unless it is necessary.
Once again, I would like to thank you for your continued support. If you have any concerns or questions regarding, please let me know.
o We ask that if you have been in contact with someone infected by Covid-19 or have been infected yourself that you advise us immediately.
o We ask that you DO NOT come to the class if you have the known symptoms of the virus with the last 14 days.

o Sanitation stations will be located in the cafe counter and inside the training area where you put your water bottles.
o The number of students in the changing areas of the centre will be reduced to minimise congestion so we can practice social distancing. If possible, we ask that you arrived dressed for training and that you do not bring excess baggage.
o Where possible all students and instructors will be required to remain a safe distance apart in line with current social distancing guidelines. This may include the wearing of face masks.
o Class sizes will be limited to 14 each class.
o There will be a thorough and continuous cleaning regime in the dojang space.
o Extra time will be introduced between classes to allow us to fully clean all areas of the training area ahead of the following class.
o All cleaning will carried out using a fully virucidal disinfectant cleaner, certified to kill enveloped viruses within 60 seconds.
o The centre will undergo a deep clean at the end of a training day.
o Our instructors/staff will be washing their hands before their shift, after completing cleaning tasks and frequently throughout shifts. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided for to staff members should they feel the need to wear them.
These guidelines will be updated regularly following Government Guidelines. In the meantime, please contact Master Sung directly if you have any further questions.
